About
I’m Joseph Michael Wall, a 23-year-old songwriter from Keachi, Louisiana, blending country music with doom metal.
Music started as a personal journal for me. Growing up with muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy, I couldn’t play sports, and eventually even video games stopped holding my attention. Writing songs became an outlet. For years, I mostly wrote sludge and doom metal, but over time I started digging deeper into traditional country, folk, and Red Dirt music. Eventually those two worlds collided naturally, and that’s where I found my sound.
I’m a Christian, and while I’m far from perfect, I try every day to be better. Like my grandpa says, I’m still “under construction.” Because of that, I try to write honestly about both the good and bad parts of life.
My sound pulls from traditional country, folk, Red Dirt, doom metal, and sludge metal, blending them into something distinctly my own. My lyrics are inspired by faith in Christ, mental health struggles, addiction, love, life, and loss. I play guitar, bass, banjo, and keyboards, and I also program drums, string sections, and synthesizers.
Some of my biggest influences include Townes Van Zandt, Acid Bath, Treaty Oak Revival, Black Sabbath, Blaze Foley, Guy Clark, John Prine, Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, George Jones, Keith Whitley, Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Turnpike Troubadours, Wyatt Flores, Ole 60, IV and the Strange Band, Hank Williams III, Saint Vitus, Down, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, Weedeater, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Dax Riggs.

I’m currently writing the first album Somewhere Past The Line, more info to come.
